In late 2017, after being advised by our previous electricity supplier that our export rates were to be reduced, we looked into home battery storage and installers.

We found Ecosmart after an online search.

On meeting Daryn from Ecosmart, not only did we find a very efficient practical person paying attention to detail, but someone who shared our philosophy of solar energy use.

Within days he had installed a 5 Kw inverter linked to a bank of lead carbon batteries. Our dependency on the grid became minimal.

Earlier this year we moved to Taupo.  Again we engaged Ecosmart to install another system consisting of a 6 Kw solar array coupled with lead carbon batteries.

We are super thrilled with the work done, the efficiency of the system and the savings made.  In fact just last month (while it was still cold) our power bill was only $7!  And this month so far, we have earned over $140 in credit and we're only half way through!

Ecosmart are a very competitive electricity retailer and are set up to really make solar worthwhile.  So we are now definitely permanent clients of theirs.
